Reporting Road Issues

This page lists where to report road/bikeways issues in various parts of San Diego County

What are issues you may want to report? Anything that makes riding your bike on certain locations dangerous that can be fixed by the local public works department (traffic light censors not detecting you (so you can't get a green light), potholes, debris in the bike lane, overgrowing vegetation, obscured safety signage, etc). For any problem that requires re-engineering of the roadway or to request bike infrastructure, you'll have to make a request to the location's engineering department or to SANDAG (Go By Bike Public Outreach:

401 B St, Ste 800, San Diego, CA 92101. GobyBIKE@sandag.org or call 1.833.8992453).

Report things like potholes, gravels in bike lane, not getting green light at intersections.

So... if you notice any road/bikeway problem needing reporting, please note the exact location of the problem spot (nearest cross streets and the direction of travel, and in which city or unincorporated area it is located). Take a picture of it if you can safely do so, and then hit one of these links (note that bikeways that run along a freeway or a numbered state highway may fall under the jurisdiction of CalTrans).
